Division Chief Joseph E. (Butch) Parker

Division Chief Joseph E. Parker is the training & EMS division chief North Bay Fire District.  He has been an active member of the department since 1987 and a career employee of the fire district since 1989.  He progressed through the ranks from firefighter to Lieutenant and then Captain and now to the rank of Division Chief.

Division Chief Parker holds a Florida Certificate of Compliance as a Firefighter, and  Certificates of Competency as a Fire Officer I and Fire Instructor Live Fire Training Instructor  and Fire Inspector I.  He is a certified Paramedic and Emergency Medical Technician through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and the States of Florida and Alabama.  He has been trained to the Technician level for hazardous materials.  He is or has been an American Safety and Health Institute Basic Life Support Instructor, an American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support instructor and a National Association of emergency Medical Technicians Advanced Medical Life Support instructor.   He is also an instructor for paramedic and emergency medical technician programs as well as Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, Advanced Hazmat Life Support.

Chief Parker is a member of Florida One Disaster Medical Assistance Team, where he serves as a communications specialist. 

He holds an Associates of Science Degree in Fire Science Technology from Gulf Coast Community College.  He has completed advanced study through the Florida State Fire College, the Pinellas County Fire Academy, Shelton State Community College and the National Fire Academy.

Division Chief Parker is the departments Public Information Officer.
