Call to Order:
Chairman Hinely called the Board of Fire Commissioners’ meeting to order at
7:45 p.m.

There were no public inputs.

Old Business
The minutes of
the August 19, 2008 meeting were reviewed.
Commissioner Vining made a motion to accept the minutes as written,
motion seconded by Commissioner Santner. Commissioner Hinely voted in favor,
Commissioner Vining voted in favor, Commissioner Santner voted in favor,
Commissioner Porter voted in favor, and Commissioner Hipp voted in favor.
All in favor, motion carried.
The August 31,
2008 Financial Statement Report was reviewed.
Commissioner Hipp made a motion to accept the Financial Statement
Report as written, motion seconded by Commissioner Porter.
Commissioner Hinely voted in favor, Commissioner Vining voted in
favor, Commissioner Santner voted in favor, Commissioner Porter voted in
favor, and Commissioner Hipp voted in favor.
All in favor, motion carried.

New Business
Assistant Fire
Chief Jordan informed the Board of Fire Commissioners’ that the Interlocal
Agreement on the Advanced Life Support Fire Engine Partnership Program is
pending approval from the Okaloosa County Board of Commissioner.
Assistant Fire
Chief Jordan announced to the Board of Fire Commissioners that Firefighter
Jason L. Oliver passed his Paramedic National/State Written Examination.
Congratulations to Jason for successfully completing his Paramedic
Course.
Assistant Fire
Chief Jordan informed the Board of Fire Commissioners that on August 25,
2008, the North Bay Firefighters’ Pension Trust Fund received their State
Warrant in the amount of $63,785.35.
This warrant constitutes the revenue due to the North Bay
Firefighters’ Pension Trust Fund under Chapter 175, Florida Statutes, for
calendar year 2007. The warrant
was deposited into the Pension Trust Fund account.
Assistant Fire
Chief Jordan informed the Board of Fire Commissioners that the North Bay
Fire Control District received their Grant money in the amount of
$12,000.00. The Grant money was
deposited into the Bank of America Money Market account.
Assistant Fire
Chief Jordan announced the “Employment Anniversary” for the month of
September to Captain Phil LeBrun (September 4th) for 3 years of
dedicated service to the North Bay Fire Control District.
Congratulations to Capt LeBrun for a job well done!
Assistant Fire
Chief Jordan presented the Board of Fire Commissioners with the Assistant
Fire Chief’s Report for August 2008.
Assistant Fire
Chief Jordan presented the Board of Fire Commissioners with the August 2008
Fire Incident Run Report. The
North Bay Fire Control District responded to a total of 66 incidents: 2
structure fires; 1 vehicle fire; 1 wildland fire; 4 motor vehicle accidents;
38 medicals; 14 canceled enroutes; 1false alarms/alarm activation; 3 good
intents; 1 service call and 1 hazardous materials.
This brings the total to 549 alarm runs for the year.
Dollar loss for the year is $174,450.00.
Fire
Marshal Losinger presented the Board of Fire Commissioners with the Fire
Marshal’s Report for August 2008.
Assistant Fire Chief Jordan presented the Board of Fire Commissioners with
the District’s Training Report for August 2008.
Division Chief Parker was absent.
Chairman Hinely
asked if there were any comments from the floor.
There were no other comments.
The next Board of
Fire Commissioners’ Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at 7:00
p.m., at the North Bay Fire Control District,
